With complex free flowing curves to achieve exact seam offsets by hand (and maintain the "shape" of the original curve) is difficult. With the pattern detailing tools from FashionCAD it is made easy.

To insert balance points at exact distances along a curve, and achieve exactly the same distance along the corresponding curve, of an a joining pattern piece to ensure that you get no "puckering", when you sew the garment together is, in many instances, a "trial and error" process when doing it by hand. To make curves on adjoining patterns exactly the same length is another manual nightmare. These problem are made worse when you have many sizes to grade! FashionCAD has the tools to easily complete these tasks - and many more.

You can insert any text, in any font, at any size or orientation onto your pattern piece. You can create any symbols (Logo's, buttons, zips, diagrams, etc..) and insert them, at any size, orientation and location onto your pattern piece. Create any surface design to insert onto the pattern piece. This can be a simple "grain" indication, for use in your layout, or can be a reflection of the material design to assist with pattern piece matching to the material pattern interval.

Demonstration - audio-visual movie files

The '95/'98 audio visual demonstrations are created with Lotus ScreenCam & are self contained. The demo movies for "other" Windows are created to run using Windows Media Player or QuickTime.

Download Instructions :-

1. Click on download "disk" and save the file to your download directory on your hard disk.
- The demo files are compressed into self extracting executables to minimise download time.

2. Use Windows explorer to locate the downloaded file and "double-click" on it to 'uncompress' the demonstration file contained within the download. Select 'OK', then 'UNZIP' and then when the file is extracted select 'CLOSE' .

3. Use Windows explorer to go to directory C:\FASHIONCAD\FCADDEMO then "Double-click" on the uncompressed demonstration file to run the audio visual demo. - Remember to turn on your speakers and increase the volume until you can hear the commentary - again to minimise file sizes and hence to keep the download time as short as possible the audio quality has been 'optimised' for small file size.
